Didn’t see this coming!


After traveling to learn Dialogue Therapy (more on that later), I came home with the worst cold of my life.

COVID. First time. 🤒

Spent the next two weeks watching a lot of Sex and the City and Harry Potter.

I also began Zentangling, creative doodling with repeating patterns.

I've never thought of myself as a visual artist, but started learning this form last year and love it.

COVID gave me the chance to explore this method of self-expression more deeply. I consider that a gift. 🎁

Remember, Fname, progress isn’t linear. It's topsy-turvy. It comes at you sideways. It goes up and down and all around.

The few weeks before getting sick, I was on an upswing, making strides in some projects and staying on top of my good habits. But that never lasts forever.

It's not about how long your progress lasts, but instead how you deal with interruptions, what you do with that time.

Coming home, we missed our connecting flight. 😭 The plane was ready to land in DC when we found out the weather was too bad to descend. Instead, we flew circles in the sky for 45 minutes. Though I wasn’t looking forward to a long layover, I was glad that the protocol wasn’t to fly into the storm hoping for the best. 🤞 You don’t always have to move forward at all costs. Sure, things might take longer. People might get upset. Your plans might get derailed. But your peace of mind is worth it....
