This email is about The Focus Spell, a group coaching program for helping big dreamers take action. If that's not you and you don’t want to hear about it anymore, CLICK HERE. You’ll still get my weekly email newsletter. The New Moon is here again. 🌚 It’s a time of all kinds of unknown, when we're in the most darkness. But there’s also potential. It's a ripe, all-things-are-possible, kind of potential. And yet, we have NO IDEA what it’ll look like or how to get there. The Lunar Cycle, moving...

You’ll still get my weekly email newsletter. Do you get the Sunday Scaries when you start to worry about the upcoming week? Or maybe this week it’ll be a little more like: Here’s what I do on Sunday to make it way less scary: Take a look at the week ahead and make note of any special appointments/commitments as well as...

Coming home, we missed our connecting flight. 😭 The plane was ready to land in DC when we found out the weather was too bad to descend. Instead, we flew circles in the sky for 45 minutes. Though I wasn’t looking forward to a long layover, I was glad that the protocol wasn’t to fly into the storm hoping for the best. 🤞 You don’t always have to move forward at all costs. Sure, things might take longer. People might get upset. Your plans might get derailed. But your peace of mind is worth it....

For years, I’ve had one simple goal that never got done: Get TSA precheck. Every time I’d go through airport security (the LONG line), I’d be kicking myself for procrastinating. I’m embarrassed to admit, I had even filled out the paperwork online LAST YEAR, but never made the in-person appointment. 🤦♀️ It felt like just one more thing I had to do. But then last month something changed. I made the appointment and within two weeks, I had my Known Traveler Number ready for my flight next month....

Food is a love language for me. I’ve got texts to prove it. Here’s a text thread with Kelly: She’s basically saying, "I got food for you, boo!" I couldn't get home fast enough. She knows this about me for one important reason … I've told her. More than once I've said, "When someone makes me food, especially when they know I'm busy, I feel so loved!" ➡️Listen, Reader, you gotta say what you want and need. So now I’m asking for your help with a project I’m working on … If you struggle with...

My yoga teacher dropped this truth bomb in class right before we went into camel pose. "Don't let your expectations get in the way of your execution." This applies to so much more than a classic back bend pose. 😱 Have you ever stopped yourself from pursuing something because of what you fear might happen? 🛳️ Or maybe you think it’ll go a certain way and when it goes differently, you think it’s a sign to abandon ship? Please, Reader, don’t let what you think might happen stop you from finding...

Twice a week I head to the SLAB to workout with Brea from Strong at Last. Brea has built a business around her passion of helping business professionals get fit and have fun while doing it. I love the accountability and having someone else tell me what to do. It feels like I'm working out with my friend (who also helps make sure I don't hurt myself). Post-workout selfie with Coach Brea I'm this person for my coaching clients too. Except instead of making progress on pull-ups, I'm helping them...

After traveling to learn Dialogue Therapy (more on that later), I came home with the worst cold of my life. COVID. First time. 🤒 Spent the next two weeks watching a lot of Sex and the City and Harry Potter. I also began Zentangling, creative doodling with repeating patterns. I've never thought of myself as a visual artist, but started learning this form last year and love it. COVID gave me the chance to explore this method of self-expression more deeply. I consider that a gift. 🎁 Remember,...

One of the reasons I love the 26&2 yoga practice I shared about last time is that the sequence is built around stillness. The teachers will sometimes joke that the practice is actually 60 minutes of being still interrupted 26 times by a posture. We all need moments in our life to pause and reflect. This is why I turn my attention to the sun and the moon for queues for when to take time to look inward. This week is a turning point. Today is the Summer Solstice, a time when the sun will appear...

Hey Reader, check this out – Today I hit 300 classes at Gaze Hot Yoga. 🎉 It took me 4 years, many missed classes, and months off from practicing to get here. I was at 297 classes for a looong time. 🙄 But this week, I adjusted my schedule and prioritized this practice. Life will always ebb and flow you out of habits. It's what life does. And that's 100% okay. I know that I'll fall off again. I don't need to remind myself of that. Instead, I want to remember that more than likely, I will go...
